| At temple festivals people come in the morning with the idea of staying all day. They bring food, tea, and lots of hombrew called chang. Just before I took this picture I tried to pay for the chang that one very hospitable woman gave me. She told me that she couldn't accept any money from me for two reasons. First of all.she lived nearby so she didn't need any more money and secondly as a pilgrim, I might need the money for my journey. |
