Some people were born to be school teachers, others were born to be jewelers, others were born to be actors. When you meet these people they have a certain quality that says, "I'm where I'm supposed to be, doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. I don't want it any other way."
Roger Pfister was born to take tour groups into Tibet. He's a genius at keeping morale of the group high, keeping track of everything, and just as importantly, he never loses the trail. He loves going on pilgrimage and helping people. He has been leading trips around Mt. Kailash since 1996 and as of this writing, July 2005, he has made 46 circuits of the mountain and 11 of Lake Manasarovar.
