Bangkok's
Wat Pra Keo,
the city's most famous temple, and Wat Poh,
home of a Reclining Buddha Statue
An expatriate
who has lived in Thailand for many years told me that the Thai people
live life more fully than Westerners because Thais fear death less.
Who's to know? But looking at the face of the Buddha at the time of
death, pictures 4 through 10, one does not see any fear. Indeed, one
sees that the artist has given the Buddha an expression of love and
compassion. To read the story of the Buddha's death click here.
